Program settings reference

Any team member · Program → Settings · Every enforced field

A reference for the fields on a program's settings page, in the order they appear. For a walkthrough of creating one, see Create a program.

Where to find it

Open the program from Programs and click Settings. Any team member can edit a program. Changes take effect when you click Save changes; the button stays disabled until something has changed. Saving does not change the program's status.

A program still in Draft also shows Edit & activate on its page. That reopens the creation wizard; its Save & activate button sets the program Active and opens applications. Use Settings for everything else.

Program status

A program holds one of four status values.

Status What it means today
Draft Public page returns not found. Applications are closed. The program page shows "Not yet visible to advocates" and Edit & activate
Active Public page is live. New applications are accepted while applications are open
Paused New applications are rejected. The public page still renders
Closed Public page returns not found. New applications are rejected. Permanent

Below the status is the applications value, Open or Closed. When closed, the public page shows "Not currently accepting applications" in place of the apply button.

Close program permanently is the last control in this section. It asks you to confirm, then sets the status to Closed and forces applications closed. This cannot be undone; there is no reopen. Closing does not cancel work in flight: approved earnings still pay out on the next payout run, and pending submissions and applications remain reviewable.

Brand template

Shown only when your workspace has brand templates. Pick one to style the public program page, or none for the Kindling default.

Hero content overrides

Shown only when a brand template is selected. Blank fields fall back to the template's defaults; if the template has none, the headline falls back to the program name, the subheadline to "by ", and the button to "Apply Now".

What determines a payment

At approval: reported impressions ÷ 1,000 × CPM rate, capped at the max payout per post. The CPM rate and cap in effect at the moment of approval are the ones used, so a rate change applies to every approval after it and to nothing before it.

The estimate attached to a pending submission is calculated when the advocate submits and can differ from the approved amount. The approved amount is the one that pays.
