Two separate charges: what you pay for the platform, and what you pay advocates.

## Subscription plans

| Plan | Price | Per-advocate seats |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Monthly | $299 per month | $1.49 per month per approved advocate enrollment |
| Annual | $2,990 per year | None |

Annual saves $598 against paying monthly before seats.

An active subscription is required to use the dashboard at all. Without one you are sent to the subscribe page.

## Advocate seats

On a monthly plan, $1.49 per month for each approved advocate enrollment.

**Seats count enrollments, not people.** One advocate approved into two programs is two seats. The count updates when you approve or remove an enrollment and when you delete a program, and the change is prorated on your subscription. There is nothing to provision.

Annual plans carry no seat charge.

## Payout billing

Advocate payouts are billed at each payout run, on the 1st and the 15th at 09:00 UTC. Each run creates one invoice for your workspace with a line per payout, and charges the payment method on file.

You are charged the payout amount plus a 15% platform fee. The advocate receives the full payout; the fee is added on top.

| Advocate is paid | Platform fee | You are billed |
| --- | --- | --- |
| $100.00 | $15.00 | $115.00 |
| $462.78 | $69.42 | $532.20 |
| $500.00 | $75.00 | $575.00 |

**Manual payments bill immediately.** Using **Process payment** on an approved submission creates and charges an invoice for that one payout on the spot, rather than waiting for the run. See [How advocate payouts work](/docs/payouts/).

You are billed only for posts you approved. An unapproved submission costs nothing.

Programs that reward in gift cards, charitable donations, or a company-defined reward instead of cash carry their own fees: 15% on gift cards, $5.00 flat on charity, $25.00 flat on company-defined rewards.

## Working out what a program costs

Your variable cost is driven by three numbers you control: the CPM rate, the post cap, and how many posts you approve.

A worked case on a monthly plan. Twenty advocates, each approved into one program, a $5.00 CPM, a $500 post cap, one post each per month averaging 40,000 impressions:

| Line | Calculation | Monthly |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Payouts | 20 × 40 × $5.00 | $4,000.00 |
| Platform fee | 15% of payouts | $600.00 |
| Seats | 20 × $1.49 | $29.80 |
| Subscription | | $299.00 |
| **Total** | | **$4,928.80** |

On an annual plan the Seats line is $0, and the subscription is billed once a year at $2,990 instead of $299 each month.

The post cap is your protection against a single unusually large post. At a $5.00 CPM, a $500 cap binds at 100,000 impressions.

## Managing your subscription

`Settings → Billing`. Any active team member can open it today; there is no role gate.

The page shows your plan, your current seat count, and a **Manage billing & payment methods** button that opens the Stripe customer portal. Payment method changes, invoices, plan changes, and cancellation all happen in the portal.

**Renewal reminder.** Seven days before your subscription renews, the workspace email gets a reminder with the renewal date and amount.

## If your subscription lapses

When your subscription ends, whether you cancelled it or a payment failed and was not resolved, your workspace is suspended. Everyone who signs in sees the suspended page with a **Reactivate Subscription** button; your programs and data are kept. Reactivating takes you through subscribe again.

**Unpaid advocate earnings still invoice.** Payout runs only check for a payment method on file, not for an active subscription, so approved payouts continue to be charged to the card on file after cancellation. Contact support@kindlinghq.com before cancelling if you have pending payouts.

## FAQ

You pay the subscription and, on a monthly plan, seats. Payout billing is zero.

### Are unapproved submissions billed?

### Can I switch monthly to annual?

Plan changes are made in the Stripe customer portal, from `Settings → Billing`. If you switch and your seat charge does not drop off, contact support@kindlinghq.com.

### Does the platform fee come out of the advocate's payment?

No. The advocate receives the full calculated amount. The fee is added on top of what you are billed.
